Hello everyone, this a touching story from our Blackpool home.
One day, our staff found a tiny kitten outside, cold and alone after hiding in a car exhaust. We couldn't leave the little one out in the cold,
so we scooped him up, wrapped him in a warm towel, and showered him with the care he needed.
As the volunteers were on their way to check for a microchip, we faced a crucial decision: should we adopt him if no family claims him?
Our enablers, using picture references – a smiley face for yes and a sad face for no – got a unanimous response - smiles all around!
We felt a connection with this vulnerable kitten, knowing what it's like to need someone to look out for us.
Planning followed suit. We agreed on getting all the kitten essentials, shared the responsibility of treating him for fleas and worms,
and scheduled a vet visit for a thorough check-up. Once again, the smiley faces made an appearance.
The grand finale was the naming ceremony! After considering a few options, we settled on Oliver.
How did we decide? Simple – face cards, and yes, the smiley face sealed the deal.
So, we officially introduce Oliver, the newest member of our family.
He's not just well cared for, he's genuinely cherished by all of us, and in return, Oliver gives back so much love.
