Kirsty's Creative Leap: From Yarn to Quills!

Hi everyone, my name is Kirsty, and I've got some exciting news to share about my latest adventure in the world of arts and crafts.

As you all know I'm a bit of a knitting enthusiast, and I can spend hours lost in the colourful world of arts and crafts. I decided to shake things up a bit and dive into a whole new creative world – card making!

I wanted to do something different, and I was talking to my enabler about taking part in an arts and crafts type of activity.

In the past I have been to a place called Man Shed which is somewhere that does all different types of courses. With support from my enabler, I took a short walk and found a course that would be right up my street.

I was chatting with my enabler, throwing around ideas for a fresh and funky activity, that's when I remembered, Man Shed, a place which offers all sorts of courses. So, with the support of my enabler, I took a short walk, and lo and behold, I stumbled upon a 5-week card-making course that sounded like a dream come true!

I'm going to be exploring the world of quilling, this is where you fold tiny bits of paper to create a masterpiece. Needlework card-making is on the agenda too. I've even thrown in a butterfly picture to give you a better idea!

I'm proud of myself for sticking with this course as in the past I have started something and not finished it, but not this time! I'm looking to create a whole bunch of Christmas cards for the festive season and New Year and then hopefully to some craft shows where I can sell some of my cards!
