We wanted to talk about something pretty special - St Theresa’s Hospice in Darlington.
It's been around since '86, quietly doing incredible work for free to help those going through incredibly difficult times dealing with illnesses. No red tape, just pure care.
What they do is simple but so important, elevating the quality of life and care for those going through a tough time. It's like having a cosy, supportive safety net when life throws its curveballs. The best part is that their families are included in the care package too – they’re not left out in the cold.
One of our very own in Darlington, an Assistant Support Team Lead, had a personal connection to the hospice. Her dad found comfort in his final days, surrounded by compassionate care. St Theresa’s didn’t just look after him; they supported the entire family through a challenging chapter. St Theresa’s runs on charity donations and our Darlington team decided to throw in our bit of support.
Life can be tough at times, and we believe in sharing a bit of warmth. So, here's to St Theresa’s Hospice – quietly making the world a better place!
