Cragmere organised a fundraising for Manorlands which is a local hospice. This charity was very important for us as Manorlands holds a special place within the community.

We contacted Manorlands and they supported us by loaning t-shirts, banners, and donation buckets.
The coffee morning took place on 29th August, it was a lovely day and the stalls were in the garden. A large tent was used for displaying the cakes, and also had seating if people preferred to stay there. The People We Support and enablers have worked very hard together to organise this event. We started by designing a leaflet and then printing this. The staff supported the People We Support to drop leaflets off in the community and door to door to encourage as many people as possible to attend the event.
The People We Support seemed to enjoy doing this. The staff and People We Support made lots of bakes such as scones, cupcakes, cakes, brownies, cheesecakes, samosas, spring rolls, lemonade, and drinks. We had a tombola and on the day this proved to be popular with the guest’s.

On the weekend of the Coffee morning, everyone worked together. This was a very fun day and the People We Support met friends, family, neighbours, and other people from the local community.
All together we raised around £265 for Manorlands. One of the People We SuuSupportport who lie at Cragmere went to Manorlands and gave them the money raised.
