Allotment fun

17th February 2014

Since Adrian, Andrew, Craig and I have received the keys to our new allotment, we have been excited about plentiful fruit and vegetables we will be able to grow. But, we know it will take lots of hard work, as well as support from our enablers over many months.

When neighbours Craig and Andrew were away on holiday, Adrian and I were very involved in the first stage; removing grass for the large soil beds for crop growth.

Back when the sun was scorching, before the Winter, Adrian worked to water the grass with help from ubu enablers, this helped the grass grow.

I have also helped to find some old pallets from the end of the allotment and cut them up into wood pieces that will form the boarder of the soil patches.

We are all looking forward to reaping the rewards of our hard work, we will keep you up to date on our growing progress!
