Memories of 2020

This “Memories” song was re-recorded in June 2020 by a talented children’s choir bringing out a beautiful rendition and optimistic perceptive. One which helps us reflect on the recent journey we have all taken over the past months with covid.

Throughout the year we have all struggled with times of restrictions, isolation, being cut off from those whom we love. With an overwhelming desire to reunite with family and friends as soon as possible for fear our relationships might consist only of memories as apposed to actual contact.

The reality is that for many of us the year 2020 will be a memory of Covid and losing loved ones who will be sorely missed, and for whom we weren’t even able to say our personal “Goodbyes”.

In memory of all those we have each lost this year we have chosen this song sung by the Children’s Choir as the theme music for our winter tribute reflection video to everyone lost during 2020. The song echoes that;

No matter how happy and supremely optimistic we maybe, life has its natural path for us all no matter who she is dealing with. Life is for us to live and live happily appreciating everyone around us equally. From a year drenched in covid, at ubu we all have grown close together adopting a newfound belief in Hope, Happiness, friendship and appreciation in each other.

In the theme of the song we toast those colleagues who have worked so hard and diligently throughout this plague and offer our sincere thanks and appreciation to each and every one of you
