My job at ubu is to develop the best ways to help and support our customers, whether that’s practical, financial or emotional. It’s ongoing and exciting work, because people’s needs are always changing. And it’s an area I understand well; my career has been spent working with people with learning disabilities, spending 10 years in both public and private sector organisations before joining ubu in 1991.
For me, the two big things about ubu are that it puts people firmly at the centre of its work, and it’s full of challenging, creative ideas.
Outside work, I can usually be found shivering on the side of a football pitch on a Sunday watching my son play football!
