WMNT Working Trust

12th December 2013

With high unemployment and high levels of poverty in Middlesbrough getting a job is not always easy. But, the “Job Club” run by the charitable organisation WMNT is trying to change that.

WMNT has very strong links in the local community running several training programmes and sports clubs. Some of our customers regularly work with them in catering and front of house reception.

Their “Job Club” isn’t funded by any grants, but run by volunteers who give their time to ensure people are receiving the right kind of skills and increasing their chances of gaining meaningful employment.

Marc Brodie, Bong and Steve had the privilege of going to WMNT and spending some time with Bernadette Myers, a volunteer who gives her time to ensure this programme can keep running. Bernadette said that this donation will be very useful indeed as without donations like this the programme would cease to exist.

While there Marc was able to discuss the possibility of creating some more opportunities for our customers working at WMNT and being involved in the “Job Club”!
