Between September and October last year every single ubu employee attended a residential re-alignment induction at Thornthwaite Scout Camp. Each two day induction was a challenging and engaging session that clearly showed what each person must do to make ubu the best organisation for the people we serve in the Health and Social Care industry.
Literally hundreds of passionate and committed employees came through the training events, each learning the fundamentals of what make ubu the unique, innovative and supportive place it is, as well asthe essential elements of their jobroles.
If you speak to anyone who attended, they will no doubt statethe induction motto: Near enoughis not good enough! This strong credo has become the life lesson for anyone who carries ubu in their hearts.
In these times of ongoing economic uncertainty,when local authorities are demanding more for less, we see itas our sworn duty to say that near enough can never be good enough.There is no excuse to deliver anything less but the best for the people we serve.
Our customers rely on us to be there, providing the best customercentric support. They are on their journey to greater independence and they need to be at the heart of everything we do, with customer service that is unrivalled. Anything else could cause setbacks that hamper personal development or even people’s health and wellbeing.
Now that we have all been throughthe Re-alignment Restructure processes, we stand together as one team, one tribe, with onestrong voice, a sound establishment for all. We refuse to stop at ‘near enough’.
We all know the value ofour contribution to our customers ,colleagues and stakeholders. We are the team that is changing the face of Health and Social Care.
Most importantly we are there for the people we serve every single day, enabling life changes to happen all the time. We are strong, selfless, soulful and supportive. We are ubu!
