Saint Catherine's Hospice

4th December 2013

It’s that time of the year when we all like to do a little bit more to show that humanity and goodness are so important in our society.

This year, when asked which charity we would be happiest to donate to, we in Scarborough felt that the most important charity would be Saint Catherine’s Hospice. This is a place that over the years has helped so many families in our local community, at a time when people are most in need.

Two of our customers, Graham and David, decided that they would like to present the cheque to St Catherine’s and let them know how much we value what they do.

The staff at the Hospice were very grateful that they had been recognised to receive this donation and thanked us all, stating that the money would go towards essentials that are needed at this time of year.

Graham and David showed so much interest in the hospice that the staff said that they should apply for voluntary positions that are currently available. This really is an opportunity not to be wasted!

This just goes to show that a little kindness goes a long way in changing the lives of the people that we support.
