It’s been an exciting couple of weeks for the families of three of our Harrogate office staff.
Karina has been celebrating the success of her son, Kaya’s band who have received an incredible write up in Kerrang! Magazine last week after recently being signed by a record label. The Melodic Hardcore band are currently touring their latest album at a number of festivals including Download and Underground. The band has been named as one to watch this year!
Linda’s son, Brandon saw Alan Bennett’s ‘The History Boys’ being advertised for the Harrogate Theatre. Having studied it for his ‘A’ levels he wrote to the director asking if there were any opportunities to help out backstage. After meeting the director he found himself being offered a role within the play performing with the Harrogate Dramatic Society! The play was a huge success and received standing ovations at the end of all the performances.
Debra had a lot to celebrate with her Dad on Father’s Day this year.
During the Queen’s birthday honours Debra’s Dad, Keith, received a British Empire Medal for his service to the community.
Keith has dedicated the last 50 years of his working life to multiple community roles including sitting on the parish council, setting up local Christmas decorations, being a committee member for the Young Farmers, chairing and helping to organise the Nidderdale Show as well as being a School Governor!
Well done and congratulations from all at ubu!
