The people served by ubu in Middlesbrough, hosted a wonderful tea party last Saturday in order to raise money for Macmillan’s Cancer research for lost family members and people we know with cancer.
The event was aimed to encourage friends, family and members of the local community to come together and raise money for a wonderful charity. There were tables covered in delicious cakes, scones and other goodies, which everyone enjoyed. Activities such as raffle had been organised and local shops had kindly donated some incredible prizes. Everyone was very generous with their donations, buying raffle tickets and trying to name the teddy bear.
The event raised an amazing £123! This is the start of ubu’s fundraising for Macmillan Cancer charity as plans are being made to take part in the ‘World’s Biggest Coffee Morning’ fundraising on the 30th September this year by inviting the people we serve, friends, family and colleagues to a at our office in Harrogate.
