I recently took the trip of a lifetime to Australia! This meant a lot of new experiences all at once. First of all I was nervous about the flight, mainly because it was so long. But once we had taken off I soon settled into it and even ended up having a snooze for some of the time.
In Australia I attended seminars and conferences where I got to speak with representatives from companies that do a similar job to ubu. I also spent time on the beach, went out for nice meals and had really good fun with the new friends I made.
But my most memorable moment was climbing Sydney Harbour Bridge. I have always been scared of heights and so it was a real challenge for me. It is 440 feet high which is taller than some skyscrapers!
I was really nervous at first but the people I was with supported me to be at ease and I said to myself “you’ve got to do things….got to give them a go” and I’m proud to say I got through it and had a brilliant time. The view from the top was incredible and when we came back down I was given a certificate to say that I had completed the bridge climb.
Having conquered my fears I would advise anyone else to do the same as it feels great to have achieved it. My advice would be that you’ve got to see the finish line; just get through that line and you’ll feel fantastic!
