Yes it’s Christmas and the message is meaningful.
Christmas Day is the date that represents the birthday of a man called Jesus Christ born a little over 2,000 years ago. It’s not important whether that date is accurate or not. It’s the significance that’s important, so 25th December is as good enough date as any.
As a human, he experienced all the emotions, doubts, fears, anxieties and misgivings that the rest of us do. His life was about setting examples of what he believed was “right” - right thinking and right actions that made both good and positive differences.
His work was about communication and ideas. He spoke to people and expressed simply his ideas about how people could behave in their everyday life and live a life of love and reason through their personal conduct reflecting peace, respect, principle, achievement and fulfilment.
Who doesn’t want that? Love and reason succeeding every time, a legacy for everyone whatever race or creed, signifying that the love of life is greater than the misery of things that are bad. That’s the Christmas message.
Then it’s New Year and the challenges are for everyone everywhere!
Hope for the best, expect the worst and take what comes, but don’t take anything for granted!
I’ll keep it short!
• Only united customer-centric working, transparently focusing every time and all the time on improving the quality outcomes every customer experiences, is capable of creating a future.
• Only confidence, competence, cheerfulness and constructiveness will reassure customers.
• Only encouraging others to trust and believe in the whole team’s contribution will secure the value of everyone’s work.
• But only one thing will secure
your future, that is, demonstrating at all times: dependable, honest, positive, fresh, unique “making it happen” behaviour. If you do that you can fall in love with the possibilities the future holds without letting neither political nor economical obstacles put you off.
Yes, the current obstructions maybe frustrating and present us with barriers, but don’t forget all obstructions can be removed at some point and when that happens, there are always greater opportunities and even more reasons to be optimistic.
Whilst there may have been frustrating times, we have come a long way during 2011 and many wonderful, thoughtful new members have joined us making the experience of being a part of the ubu community even more exciting and fun. During the year we have had many perceptive and enlightening discussions and we all look forward to continuing these in the New Year.
All of us join together in saying an enormous “THANK YOU” to everyone who makes ubu work and making it mean so much to so many.
And don’t forget that the forthcoming year brings with it a number of new “U” approaches, so keep a look out.
Yes it’s Christmas and another year over. I just wanted to say a big “THANK YOU” to everyone. It’s been good working with you during 2011 and now look forward to 2012 with you...
