"A dog at play has the mind of a wise martial arts master, a mind capable of perfect focus."
Have you ever watched dogs at play?
They are totally engrossed with the activity and with each other, watching them fully at ease with each other and sharing fun and delight in their activities, and being completely engaged , made me reflect on how this can be achieved within our work environment.
Focus is the act of channelling all our activities into achieving a desired objective. Focus doesn’t just happen by chance. It happens when we take the time necessary to regularly look at our own behaviour and then choose what needs to be done each day in order to obtain our goal. This requires a lot of personal discipline and the ability to shield yourself from the distractions of everyday events or other opportunities. Someone who is truly focused does not allow occasional problems or the resistance of others to keep them from pursuing their ultimate goal.
When the pressure is on and you really need to come through, it is your ability to focus and the visualization based belief within you, that will take over and lead you to success, The first step toward innovation should be Focus, so take that one step , One small step a week adds up to 250 steps in five years, that’s a manageable way to achieve your goals!
