We start the New Year with bated breath for the planned introduction of new systems to assist us all in our work, benefiting the people we serve and all of us as a united team working with one aim – to provide personalised supports to vulnerable people.
The first to be launched is a new database system called ‘Access’. This will provide, store and report on information relating to new and existing personnel.
I for one am looking forward to this system’s introduction as it will streamline our online recruitment system, ensuring that online applications are accessible to all new starters.
Being able to recruit the right people is crucial at the start of any new development and their first experience of an organisation needs to be positive. This new system will ensure that all potential new staff can access and complete the new applications in real time – with real time responses. Any new applicants therefore will have a confident and encouraging introduction to ubu.
The alerts produced by the system will also assist in ensuring that all references and CRB’s are followed through with the resolve that is required, ensuring that the focus is maintained and that new starters are not kept waiting – again setting the standard of our expectations for all new employees.
Every story needs a great beginning, and this new functionality will ensure that anyone hoping to work for ubu will, from the start, feel inspired, enthused and committed to a bright and fruitful future.
